L’ECOMUSÉE DE LA POMME ET DU CIDRE

For Mr. and Mrs. Godefroy who produce cider and its byproducts,a glass of cider is much more than just a refreshing drink. It is also a chance to find out about a landscape with its apple trees, cider presses, cellars, casks
and the whole history of the men of Normandy. Some fifty products are displayed at this folk museum, all of them connected to apples. They include cider, pommeau, calvados, “La goutte cauchoise” brandy, apple juice, apple jelly etc.

LA VITRINE DU LIN

The linen “showcase” is located in an 18th-century house that is part of a walled dwelling typical of the area known as the Pays de Caux. Visitors can enjoy a free exhibition explaining how flax is grown. From seed to fabric, linen has many different aspects - not forgetting its use in the automobile industry. A video explains the growing of flax and its processing into fabric. A few samples of the plant are displayed in this room (oakum, flax-tows, seeds and flax shives). Linen or linen-based products are also on sale here (wall coverings, material sold by the metre, household linen, table linen, linenscented products, gifts for newborn babies etc.)
